Members of Marine Rescue Port Kembla have given TV audiences a taste of life in the emergency services.

Volunteers from the unit recently featured in Alive and Cooking, which airs across Australia on the WIN Network and NBN.

Host James Reeson cooked the crew members a delicious breakfast of pancakes and mixed berries, before joining them on a training exercise on Lake Illawarra. He then produced a hearty and much-appreciated lunch of barbecued lamb, beef and pork with a tomato and chilli salsa.

Watch the Port Kembla members in action and pick up some tasty tips from James here.
