  • EMERGENCY SERVICES BLOOD CHALLENGE
  • June 01, 2016

Saving lives is in Marine Rescue NSW members’ blood – and now’s their chance to prove it!

Every year, Australia’s emergency services compete by state to donate the most blood during the Emergency Services Blood Challenge. Last year, they made 7,189 donations, a whopping 50 per cent more than in 2014. This year is bound to be even bigger and we need our members’ help to take out the title!

How to get involved

If you aren’t a member of Red25, the Australian Red Cross Blood Service’s group donation program, simply:

• Book a blood donation appointment between 1 June–31 August online or by calling 13 14 95

Join the Marine Rescue NSW Red25 group

• Give blood to have your donation automatically added to the Marine Rescue NSW tally. Whether you donate by yourself or with your fellow volunteers, every donation you make counts!

Track our results online during the challenge.

If you are already a member of Red25, you don’t need to re-register — just book and donate during the challenge to have your donations automatically added to the tally.

For more information, visit the Emergency Services Challenge webpage or call 1300 886 524.

Will you rise to the challenge? Together, we can save lives – on land as well as the water.
