With the Easter holidays quickly approaching, BCF is encouraging families to stay safe on the water - and supporting marine rescue services around Australia.

The BCF Great PFD Trade In reminds people to wear personal flotation devices because, after all, they're called lifejackets for a reason.

And if you upgrade your lifejacket at any BCF store in NSW up until Easter Monday, $1 from every lifejacket sold will be donated to Marine Rescue NSW to support our volunteers' work to save lives on the water.

Marine rescue services in other states will also benefit.

Commissioner Stacey Tannos thanked BCF for its ongoing support for MRNSW.

He said it was important to consider the latest safety standards and invest in a good quality life jacket before hitting the water.

He said modern lifejackets were more streamlined than older, bulky designs and recommended yoke-style jackets with a crotch strap to keep them secure.
