  • CHANGED BOATING CONDITIONS ON JETTY BEACH AT COFFS HARBOUR FOR THE BCU TRIATHLON
  • March 04, 2016

Boaters are reminded to keep clear of a section of Jetty Beach at Coffs Harbour this weekend for the safe staging of the BCU Coffs Harbour triathlon.

Roads and Maritime Services granted an exclusive use aquatic licence to Village Sports Coffs Harbour to host the event between 1pm and 3.30pm on Saturday 5 March and between 7am and 9am on Sunday 6 March.

An event area will be established from the shores of Jetty Beach east for a distance of around 400 metres.

The area will be marked by yellow buoys and will be monitored by control vessels.

Vessels not involved in the event should not enter the area unless authorised by a control vessel.

Roads and Maritime reminds people to wear a lifejacket when boating, especially in vessels smaller than 4.8 metres when alone, at night or offshore.
