  • CHANGED BOATING CONDITIONS AT TORONTO BAY ON LAKE MACQUARIE FOR FIREWORKS
  • December 09, 2015
Boaters are reminded to keep clear of the area of Toronto Bay at Lake Macquarie near Victory Parade Park on Thursday 10 December for the safe staging of a fireworks display.

Roads and Maritime Services has granted an exclusive use aquatic licence to Milton Skinner to host the event between 8.30pm and 9.30pm.

Vessel operators should avoid the area in a radius of 150 metres around the firing barge which will be moored off Victory Parade Park.

The area will be monitored by control vessels.

Vessels not involved in the event should not enter the area unless authorised by a boating safety officer or a police officer.

Roads and Maritime reminds people to wear a lifejacket when boating, especially in vessels smaller than 4.8 metres when alone, at night or offshore.
