  • CHANGED BOATING CONDITIONS FOR THE CLASSIC PADDLE ON MYALL RIVER THIS SATURDAY
  • September 08, 2015

Roads and Maritime Services is advising boaters to be careful on the lower Myall River this Saturday for the safe staging of the Myall Classic Paddle.

Paddle NSW has been granted an exclusive use Aquatic Licence to host the event on the Myall River between Dredge Island and Tamboy from 7am to 3pm on Saturday 12 September.

The area established to host the event on the Myall River will be monitored by control vessels to allow vessels to navigate through the area safely.

Vessels not involved in the event should not cause unreasonable wash within 100 metres of participating paddle craft and follow directions given by a boating safety officer or a police officer. Fines may apply.

Roads and Maritime reminds people to wear a lifejacket when boating, especially in vessels smaller than 4.8 metres when alone, at night or offshore.
