Congratulations to Eryl Thomas, from Marine Rescue Port Stephens, who has been named the Marine Rescue NSW Rotary Emergency Services Community Awards Officer of the Year tonight.

Eryl, along with our other finalists, Illawarra Regional Controller Bruce Mitchell, Dennis Travers, from MR Forster-Tuncurry and Derek Ford, from MR Port Macquarie, are attending tonight's presentation ceremony with MRNSW Chair Jim Glissan, Directors John Lynch and David White and Commissioner Stacey Tannos.

NSW Governor His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley, Awards Ambassador Premier Mike Baird and Emergency Services Minister David Elliott have all praised volunteers who dedicate their time to serving the NSW community.
