  • BOATERS REMINDED OF SWIM EVENT AT ONE MILE BEACH AT PORT STEPHENS
  • May 21, 2015

Roads and Maritime Services advises boaters a swimming event there in the waters of One Mile Beach at Port Stephens this weekend.

An exclusive use aquatic licence has been granted to Elite Energy to hold the swim event at the southern end of the beach on Saturday 23 May from 7.30am to 2.30pm.

The event area will be marked by inflatable buoys and patrolled by control vessels.

For safety reasons, boaters should avoid the area and should follow the directions of Boating Safety Officers and NSW Police.

Roads and Maritime reminds people to wear a lifejacket when boating, especially in craft under 4.8 metres when alone, at night or offshore.
