Roads and Maritime Services advises boaters that due to ski racing there will be changed boating conditions on the Clarence River at Grafton on the weekend of 23 and 24 May.

An exclusive use acquatic licence has been granted to the Big River Ski Club to hold the event on Saturday 23 May from 8.30am to 4.30pm and on Sunday 24 May from 8.30am to 12pm.

The event area will be marked by buoys from the water near Corcoran Park on Kirchner Street at Grafton to about 3.5 kilometres downstream.

The area will be monitored by club control vessels for the safety of event participants and other boaters.

Boaters near the ski races should follow the directions of Boating Safety Officers and NSW Police.

Roads and Maritime reminds people to wear a lifejacket when boating, especially in craft under 4.8 metres when alone, at night or offshore.
