  • Lake Eucumbene training day
  • November 12, 2014

Members of the Alpine Lakes Marine Rescue Unit Members travelled to beautiful Lake Eucumbene last Saturday where they launched the two vessels from the Buckenderra Holiday Village boat ramp.

Marine Rescue under the expertise of Unit Commander Les Threlfo is now training new members.
It was a beautiful day out on the lake and new members experienced both calm and choppy conditions that will hold them in good stead for the coming season.

Skippers Ann Foster and Adolf Franco ensured that the new members were introduced to both vessels and the technical rescue equipment that went with each.

Members changed vessels mid lake and at regular interval during the day giving them the feel and the differences in the handling of both vessels.

It was not all work as the photo shows and all Members had a great time.

This year's boat raffle was won by ticket numbers 1st Prize 0009151 - purchased at the 2014 Irish Festival 2nd Prize 0006791 - 3rd Prize 0008730
