YOU could win a high-speed ride in the Jet Buzz boat on Lake Macquarie - and it won't cost you a cent to enter.

It'll be one of the highlights of Marine Rescue Lake Macquarie's annual open day this Sunday at Pelican.

There will be about 40 market stalls, as well as book and craft stalls.

Visitors won't go hungry: bacon and egg rolls, sausage sandwiches, ice-creams and drinks will be available.

Live music, line dancing, martial arts and jumping castles will be there. Have an artist sketch your portrait for a small fee.

Visitors can also purchase a ticket in the unit's boat raffle. And entry to win a ride in Jet Buzz is free.

The event will be held on Sunday from 7am to 2pm in Pelican Park, Lakeview Parade, next to the Marine Rescue building.
