  • Simulated rescue of NSW far south coast shows emergency organisations well prepared

Marine rescue organisations on the New South Wales far south coast have successfully completed a major training exercise.

Volunteer marine rescue units, water police, two helicopters, the navy and surf lifesavers took part in the operation off Batemans Bay on Sunday.

After a theory day on Saturday, the teams took to the water as part of a simulated emergency.

Marine Rescue Regional Training Manager, Glenn Sullivan, said the scenarios were challenging but went like clockwork.
