Applications are sought from interested MRNSW ‘regular’ members, to attend either of the IAVE World Volunteer Conferences in September.

Volunteering Australia (VA) is hosting the following World Volunteer Conferences on behalf of the International Association for Volunteer Effort (IAVE).

World Youth Conference (for 16-30yrs) 15-17 September, 2014 Watermark Hotel, Surfers Paradise.

IAVE World Volunteer Conference 17-20 September, 2014 Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre

The Australian Government Attorney-General’s Department has generously provided support scholarships for Australian emergency management volunteers to attend conferences. Marine Rescue NSW has been allocated a $6000 scholarship towards its involvement, and will be providing additional funding to support the participation of a small MRNSW delegation at both events.
