Ms Skinner, the North Shore MP, commissioned Middle Harbour 30, Marine Rescue NSW’s newest launch at Middle Harbour, and opened a new floating pontoon at the base.

Joining Ms Skinner at the commissioning of the $660,000 rescue vessel and the $65,000 pontoon was Marine Rescue NSW deputy commissioner Dean Storey, Manly Mayor Jean Hay, Mosman Mayor Peter Abelson and Resources and Energy Minister Anthony Roberts.

“Middle Harbour 30 is a tremendous asset for the members of Marine Rescue Middle Harbour and the large boating community gathered around Sydney Harbour,’’ she said.

Mr Roberts said the State Government had provided a $45,000 Community Building Partnership grant towards the floating pontoon.
