  • MAN COLLAPSES ON BOAT
  • November 03, 2013
A man was rendered incapacitated from crippling back pain onboard his 8 meter cruiser in Wallis lake early this afternoon. Marine Rescue Forster Tuncurry received a call from a passenger who said that the skipper had severe back spasms relating to a pre-existing condition and was unable to move. The injured man was transferred onto the lake rescue vessel Lani II crewed by Peter Page (skipper), Paul Miller and David Quinliven and brought back to the boat harbour where ambulance officers were waiting. The man was then taken by ambulance to the Manning Valley Base Hospital in Taree. The rescue vessel subsequently took on board a replacement crew for the cruiser and delivered them back to the vessel. The man was later released from hospital and sent home.
