Regional Training Manager - South
Marine Rescue NSW is the state's peak volunteer marine rescue organisation and is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) delivering maritime and public safety qualifications to our volunteer personnel.
We are seeking a highly motivated staff member to join the MRNSW team to support the delivery of training across the organisation's South Region (Illawarra and Monaro Regions).
The focus of this role is to facilitate member training activities, including trainer/assessor development, course administration/resourcing and to administer unit communication and training support requirements.
The successful applicant will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and a passion for working in support of volunteers.
Reporting to the Assistant Director – Training and Education the successful applicant will ideally have the following qualifications and attributes:
• TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (essential)
• Experience/knowledge of RTO operations, including the VET Quality Framework
• Ability and willingness to travel within NSW and work weekends (semi-regularly)
• Maritime and/or first aid experience/qualifications would be advantageous
• Experience as a staff member or volunteer of a not-for-profit organisation would be advantageous
A base of operations on the south coast is negotiable for the successful candidate. It is preferred that the successful candidate resides in the area of operation. Please refer to http://www.marinerescuensw.com.au/find-a-unit/all-regions for more details.
