An In Memoriam donation to Marine Rescue NSW is a lasting way to remember a loved one and to support our volunteers’ vital work to save lives on the water.
Marine Rescue NSW relies on our fundraising for approximately half our annual budget to provide the boating community of NSW with a coordinated emergency response service, the State’s only Log On safety service, 24 hour marine radio monitoring and boating safety education.
You can support this work by asking family and friends to give a donation to Marine Rescue NSW on the passing of your loved one or in lieu of flowers at their funeral or memorial service.
Either you or your funeral director can arrange envelopes to be available at the service by calling Marine Rescue NSW Headquarters on (02) 8071 4848.
If your loved one was a member or supporter of a Marine Rescue NSW Unit, you can request that donations are directed to this Unit.
We suggest your funeral notice could include this request by saying:
All In Memoriam donations of $2.00 or more are fully tax deductible. A thank you letter and receipt is sent to all donors.
We will also inform the next of kin of the total amount given by family and friends in their loved one’s memory to support our safety operations.
Alternatively, donors can remember your loved one and show their support for Marine Rescue NSW now by making a donation online or by downloading the In Memoriam Donations form and returning the form to Marine Rescue NSW by mail or email:
